Brad Rourke doesn't appear to be a law student.  Rather, he talks as if he's in a business of some sort.  See if you can adapt this simple note-taking method to your own needs.  It seems like it would work for meetings (for sure!) and might be a useful tool for some classes.  He calls it the "Box Method."
